A tour of Indy’s (local) high-end dining options

As an avid lover of food, one of my favorite parts of this business is when my gentleman escorts me to one of the best restaurants in Indianapolis. Whether you’re taking a vanilla date or a luxury companion, any restaurant on this list is sure to impress.

As an avid lover of food, one of my favorite parts of this business is when my gentleman escorts me to one of the best restaurants in Indianapolis. Whether you’re taking a vanilla date or a luxury companion, any restaurant on this list is sure to impress. I’ve loosely ordered these restaurants by how close they are to my heart.

Hinata

Hinata is a Japanese Fine dining restaurant that offers a different fixed multi-course menu every month. The courses typically include a soup, some cooked dishes, some raw dishes, and a dessert. Don’t sleep on the wine and sake pairings. They are thoughtfully considered and elevate the dishes significantly. Hinata is open Wednesday-Saturday and only has two seatings an evening, so plan far in advance if you want to enjoy its spectacular food!

Vida

Vida is a new American focused on fresh ingredients and creative dishes. It offers three different dining options: a six-course fixed menu, a four-course choose-your-own adventure menu, and the option to order a la carte. There is a structured pairing for the fixed menu, but the excellent sommelier will also create pairings for your choices from the four-course menu. If you don’t manage to snag reservations, it’s still worth stopping by to see if there’s a spot open at the bar.

Bluebeard

Bluebeard doesn’t offer a fixed multi-course menu, but the wide variety of farm-to-table dishes will invariably entice you to craft one for yourself. The bartenders at Bluebeard regularly create unique cocktails that are sure to please. Unfortunately, Bluebeard does not offer reservations. But they have a cozy fire pit out front if you have to wait to be seated.

Delicia

Delicia is a Latin fusion restaurant. The service here is extremely warm and the food is delightful. I’m particularly a fan of their empanadas and the Fire ‘n’ Ice margarita. The restaurant is small and very popular, so reservations are highly encouraged.

St Elmo’s/Harry and Izzy’s

St. Elmo’s is an Indy classic. But its reputation extends far beyond Indiana’s borders. Of the restaurants on this list, it is certainly the most recognizable. St. Elmo’s is known for its legendary steaks and, my personal favorite, its horseradish-forward shrimp cocktail. While St. Elmo’s is about old-fashioned elegance, the sister restaurant, Harry and Izzy’s, has a more contemporary feel. If you’re hoping to eat at either restaurant during a conference, before a sporting event, or on the weekend, reservations are a must.

Nesso

Nesso is a contemporary Italian restaurant located in the beautiful Alexander Hotel. The restaurant is just as gorgeous as the hotel and the service is always prompt. The food is excellent, but it runs a bit heavy. Keep that in mind if you’re planning to be active after eating there.

Geraldine’s Supper Club and Lounge

Geraldine’s is modeled after the jazz clubs of yesteryear. The piano at the front of the restaurant often hosts a pianist tickling the ivories. And the food is just as good as the ambiance. Their steak is one of my favorites in the city and I find myself daydreaming about the crab cakes regularly. You’ll have to step outside of downtown to enjoy this gem, but it’s absolutely worth it!

Sex Work Advocacy

Sex work remains a controversial topic, often surrounded by misconceptions and stigmatization. However, it's crucial to recognize that sex workers, like any other individuals, have rights that deserve acknowledgment, protection, and advocacy.

1. Recognizing Sex Work as Work:

One of the fundamental aspects of advocating for sex workers' rights is acknowledging their work as legitimate employment. Like any other profession, sex work provides income for individuals to support themselves and their families. By recognizing it as a form of labor, we can promote better working conditions, access to benefits, and avenues for professional growth.

2. Right to Safety and Security:

Sex workers often face higher risks of violence, harassment, and exploitation due to the stigma associated with their profession. Ensuring their safety and security is paramount. This includes protection against physical and emotional abuse, access to legal recourse, and community support networks that empower sex workers to report incidents without fear of retribution.

3. Access to Healthcare:

Sex workers, like everyone else, have the right to access quality healthcare services. Addressing their unique health needs, including sexual health, addiction support, and mental health services, is crucial for their overall well-being. Creating non-judgmental spaces where sex workers can seek medical attention without discrimination is essential.

4. Decriminalization and Legal Protection:

The decriminalization of sex work is a topic of ongoing debate. Advocates argue that decriminalization can reduce violence, improve working conditions, and protect sex workers' rights. Legal protections should also encompass issues such as housing, employment, and discrimination to ensure that sex workers are not marginalized by society.

5. Empowerment and Choice:

Many individuals enter sex work due to circumstances beyond their control, such as economic necessity. It's essential to recognize that some sex workers choose their profession willingly, and they should have the agency to make decisions about their own bodies and lives. Empowerment comes from providing options, education, and support rather than imposing judgment.

6. Anti-Trafficking Efforts without Stigmatization:

While combating human trafficking is crucial, it's equally important not to conflate all sex work with trafficking. Effective anti-trafficking efforts should focus on identifying victims, providing support, and prosecuting traffickers without further stigmatizing consensual sex workers.

Promoting and advocating for the rights of sex worakers is a matter of human rights and social justice. By acknowledging sex work as legitimate work, ensuring safety and access to healthcare, supporting legal protections, and fostering empowerment, we can contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate society. It's essential to move beyond stigma and stereotypes and create an environment that respects the dignity and rights of all individuals, regardless of their profession.

Staying grounded: Why I don’t typically tour despite my love of travel.

Despite my love of travel, limiting myself to very occasional tours and more frequent FMTYs is what makes sense for me. Read on for my reasons!

As I prepare for my upcoming tour in Manhattan, NY, I’ve had several men reach out to ask when I’ll tour in their cities. After all, my website indicates that I love to travel.

It’s true: traveling is one of my passions- quinary after food, dogs, books, and education. But while I love traveling, I have plenty to keep me at home unless I’m traveling to see a special gentleman.

1. I am a part-time companion with a full-time professional job.

I love the time that I spend with my special gentlemen. But I also have a full-time job that utilizes my master’s degree and provides me with constant mental stimulation. I love my full-time job, and while I will move projects around when a gentleman calls upon me to visit him, I am reluctant to detract too much from my job by increasing my travel schedule. Add to that the fact that successful tours typically revolve around weekdays, and tours simply don’t fit well with my professional life.

2. Personal Priorities

I have a full life here in Indianapolis. I’m lucky enough to have family nearby and friends that I see regularly. I have two adorable dogs that I spend much of my time cuddling or playing with. Relying on gentlemen at my homebase of Indianapolis with one (or occasionally two) FMTYs a month allows me to balance my personal priorities with my love of companionship.

3. Financial Considerations

Touring requires substantial financial investment, including travel expenses, accommodation, marketing efforts, and potential overhead costs. In contrast, traveling expenses and accommodations are covered by my gentlemen when I do a FMTY. While tours have the potential for massive upside, there is also a chance that there could be a financial loss from a tour.

4. Nurturing Local Connections

I adore the local connections that I have in Indianapolis. And while I do hope to build lovely connections with gentlemen on this trip to NYC, I’m averse to spread myself too thin by balancing client bases in many cities. Staying rooted in Indianapolis, with occasional forays into my other favorite cities (NYC and potentially DC), allows me to nurture and strengthen my connections, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.

5. Quality Over Quantity

Touring can sometimes lead to a frenetic pace, with travel and changing accommodations leading to a build up of stress. I value the quality of my companionship over the quantity of men that I get to know. Additionally, for a tour to be financially viable, a companion typically needs to see more men than she would ordinarily see. I want to ensure that I’m my best, sparkliest self with each of my gentleman. By choosing not to tour, I can dedicate more time and attention to each of my gentlemen, ensuring that we share the most delightful experience together.

6. Maintaining Work-Life Balance

Despite holding down a full-time job and dating gentlemen on the side, I deeply value my work-life balance. I enjoy waking each morning, reading for a bit, going for a run, and then going about my day. Touring can be disruptive to this equilibrium. The demanding schedule and constant movement associated with touring can take a toll on well-being and personal life. I don’t generally tour because I have decided to prioritize my mental and emotional health, which allows me to continue to be the best and most engaging version of myself.

Why I love being a companion

I love my life as a companion. And while my longer dinner dates, overnights, and weekends with clients allow us to develop a a valuable level of emotional intimacy, the power of the physical intimacy of touches, cuddles, and kisses cannot be ignored.

Let’s talk about the extensive benefits of physical intimacy and touch.

Because I entered the world of luxury companionship in Indianapolis from a place of security and comfort, I’ve been lucky enough to primarily see the beautiful side of the industry. While my longer dinner dates, overnights, and weekends with clients allow us to develop a a valuable level of emotional intimacy, the power of the physical intimacy of touches, cuddles, and kisses cannot be ignored.

Physical intimacy is a fundamental aspect of human relationships that goes beyond the realm of pleasure and attraction. It encompasses various forms of touch, affection, and closeness that play a pivotal role in our emotional, psychological, and even physical well-being. From simple hugs to deep embraces, from holding hands to passionate kisses, physical intimacy has the power to foster connections, boost mental health, and contribute to a higher quality of life. In this blog post, we will explore the multifaceted psychological benefits of physical intimacy and delve into the science behind its positive effects on our minds.

  1. Reducing Stress and Anxiety

In today's hyper-connected world, stress and anxiety have become almost unavoidable. Fortunately, physical intimacy offers a natural and effective way to alleviate these negative emotions. Engaging in activities like hugging, cuddling, or even holding hands stimulates the release of endorphins, commonly known as "feel-good" hormones. Endorphins work as natural stress relievers, promoting relaxation and tranquility. Moreover, physical touch can also reduce the production of cortisol, the stress hormone, leading to a calmer state of mind.

  2. Boosting Mood and Happiness

Relatedly, the link between physical intimacy and happiness is well-established in scientific literature. Engaging in intimate physical contact leads to an increase in dopamine production, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and reward. This surge in dopamine levels contributes to an enhanced mood and a general sense of happiness. Activities such as kissing and cuddling activate the brain's pleasure centers, leaving individuals with a sense of contentment and joy.

  3. Enhancing Self-Esteem and Body Image

Physical intimacy can play a pivotal role in enhancing self-esteem and promoting a positive body image. When partners engage in intimate acts, they provide each other with validation and appreciation, reinforcing a sense of worthiness. This positive feedback loop can help individuals develop a healthier perception of their bodies and themselves. Moreover, physical touch releases oxytocin, which can counteract feelings of self-doubt and contribute to a more positive self-concept.

  4. Fostering Emotional Expression and Communication

Nonverbal communication is a significant aspect of human interaction. Physical intimacy serves as a medium through which emotions are expressed and understood without the need for words. A simple touch can convey empathy, affection, sympathy, and various other emotions that might be challenging to articulate verbally. This nonverbal communication strengthens emotional bonds and fosters a deeper understanding between individuals.

  5. Strengthening Resilience and Coping Mechanisms

Life is replete with challenges, and individuals who have a strong support system tend to navigate these challenges more effectively. Physical intimacy provides a platform for individuals to seek solace and comfort during difficult times. The act of embracing or holding someone's hand can provide a sense of security, reassuring individuals that they are not alone in their struggles. This emotional support can help individuals build resilience and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

  6. Improving Sleep Quality

The relationship between physical intimacy and sleep quality is another intriguing aspect of its psychological benefits. Engaging in physical touch, such as cuddling, before sleep triggers the release of serotonin, a neurotransmitter associated with relaxation and sleep regulation. Additionally, the release of oxytocin during intimate moments contributes to feelings of calmness, reducing insomnia and promoting a more restful sleep.

The psychological and physiological benefits of physical intimacy are vast and profound. Not everyone has equal access to physical intimacy. If you find that you’re not getting the level of intimacy that you want or need, consider reaching out to a professional. From professional cuddlers to paid companions, we’re happy to help you along your path.
